Team

The jabber.org IM service is run by a small team of volunteers, most of whom usually hang out in the jabber@conference.jabber.org chatroom (web access here). Here are the key players…

Peter Saint-Andre

Peter (“stpeter”) is the person ultimately responsible for the service. If you have any complaints, send them to Peter via email or IM at stpeter@jabber.org.

Matthew Wild

Matthew (“MattJ”) is the helpful guy you see in the jabber chatroom at all hours of the day and night. We’re not sure when Matthew sleeps, but we appreciate all his hard work on the jabber.org service as well as the Prosody project.

Kevin Smith

Kevin (“Kev”) helps with general systems maintenance, software installs, chatroom monitoring, and other tasks.

Jonathan Siegle

Jonathan is our go-to guy for software upgrades, data backups, and other plumbing issues. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s important.

Jeremie Miller

Jer started off the whole Jabber phenomenon back in 1999 and still helps out around the jabber.org IM service, especially with DNS and some of the physical hardware in “the bunker”.

Jerry Pasker

Jerry is the top technical guru at US Secure Hosting Center, where the core jabber.org infrastructure has been hosted since the beginning of time. We love Jerry.

Alexander Gnauck

Alex helps with general systems maintenance.
