Swiss knife of messaging protocols, the psyced implements 3 interserver protocols being PSYC, XMPP and IRC, 5 client protocols (the 3 again plus TELNET and WAP) and some more things like a built-in webserver, SMTP gateway, notification and social networking functions, all of which is only loaded when you need it. psyced provides an API for writing customized chatrooms, which can be entered from any of the protocols. Further XEPs not listed below: XEP-0178: Best Practices for Use of SASL EXTERNAL with Certificates. XEP-0185: Dialback Key Generation and Validation. XEP-0190: Best Practice for Closing Idle Streams. XEP-0212: XMPP Basic Server 2008. XEP-0220: Server Dialback. psyced also implements many functionalities in a PSYC fashion, which is unlike the equivalent XEPs, but may actually work, too. psyced is not focused on being a good Jabber server, but it is a good choice if you want to take part in the "Jabber" experience without actually using "Jabber" software.
